I'm Eric Leong, one of Miguel's best friends in this world and I have set this up to invite people to share in his memory, the good times that were spent with him. I regret to inform everyone that he had been found on the morning of April 25th 2007, deceased from a drug overdose. Like many people, Miguel struggled with personal giants. I am one of the few people close to him that has seen a truly benevolent person, a good father, a man who worked hard to create everything with his own two hands from the ground up. His life crumbled often but EVERY time he picked himself back up where most people would have given up long ago. He just couldn't stop slipping. I loved this man and he was a good friend till the very end. It was an honor to have lived as his friend. Miguel believed in me and once told me "Eric. you have the ability to make so much money with your talent". Miguel knew how to harness his talents and saw our common ability to achieve something from nothing. He never was worried about making money and finding work. I bought him a vespa scooter when he was staying with me so he could drive back and forth to work. I didnt have a car for him to use. Before I knew it he had a car of his own and didnt stay long. I guess it was an excuse for me to buy a scooter. That was the last time we laughed together, taking joy rides on that thing. He was the one to really get me into riding motorcycles. I practiced and even fell on his dirt bike when we was living in winder with his wife at the time.Miguel was laid to rest on Saturday April 28th at Enternal Hills Cemetery in Snellville Georgia.
