André Sáh comes from a family of four generations of musicians who immersed him into a musical universe since his birth (1977., Rio de Janeiro.) The constant family jam-sessions were a nest of experimenting with new sounds, new rhythms, new instruments and new ideas and, as such, helped to create his inquisitive musical taste which will later take him on a journey throughout Brazil in searching of roots of the traditional brazilian music. Surfing the cultural heritage of the north-eastern Brazil, André Sáh re-discovered the happines of samba, the swing of baião, the lightness of xote, the measured step of coco and the exciting movements of galope whose elements became constant light-motives of his compositions.
