Nobody's Heroes are frequently billed as the UK's finest Stiff Little Fingers tribute band, so how did it all get stared? This project took over 12 months to get off the ground due to Tim & Andy being
unable to find a suitable drummer & 2nd guitarist who could sing a bit.
Eventually, around October 2004 the current line-up was in place and work began.
However, an accident resulting in two of Tim's fingers almost parting company
with his hand, put a stop to proceedings for nearly four months, so it was
towards the end of February 2005 when we were able to get things moving
properly.
Since then, we have played a few gigs including 2 @ The Boardwalk & 2 @ The Grapes. The
music we play is a mixture of early punk through to recent drive thru stuff, but
all our material is melodic and most has plenty of harmony vocals.
As we span quite a massive age range, from 18 years to 40 something, our music reflects this. It also causes me a large amount of grief at times. Band disputes are one thing.......mixed with family disputes, things can get a bit hairy!! One of the pitfalls of having a son as a guitarist!! If I had a pound for every time someone thought that Scott was my brother I'd have about 4 quid.
We eventually found Nigel, our new drummer, so after a 10 month break we're now back in business!
UPDATE 10th NOVEMBER 2007!!
Gigs are now coming up on a regular basis, we're developing an awesome following and making new friends everywhere we play. Keep checking back for all details of upcoming gigs and join us for a great night!
