The Urban Country Divide

The Urban Country Divide, in its current form since early 2006, is now emerging onto the live scene with a very unique sound combining instruments from far ranging genres to give a bluegrass/trad sound with a very contemporary feel.The members, Aideen (cello), Caoimhe (congas), Donal (banjo) and Eric (guitar) come from very different musical backgrounds ranging from heavy rock to Irish Trad to Cuban rhythms and the resulting sound is definitely something to be heard. They play an all original set and all members sing, delivering an energy boost to their live performances. The Urban Country Divide are currently in studio and should be releasing their recording later this year.
