Burglar Tom, AKA Tom Burgess was born in belfast 1969, he was listening to punk rock by the time he was ten years old, by his late teens acid house was starting to arrive and thats when the trouble started , he began selling drugs to get by, and breaking into the odd house now and again , but as most people do he ended up getting caught, as a result he spent five years of his life behind bars. after his release he decided to turn away from his years of crime and focus on what he always loved , music !! He has been given the use of a friends studio and has started to release his first records under the name "Burglar Tom" mustering a catalogue of edits from the likes of The Pixies, Joy Division, New Order and The Fall. His club remixes of Alloy Mental's lastest single's "God is Green" and "Alloy Mental" has taken the UK dance media by storm, with further remixes planned in the coming months... "Burglar Tom EP1" is out in the shops now , with tracks taken from ledgends such as Bush Tetras, New Order, My Bloody Valintine, and last but not least the mighty KLF. watch this space as the eps start to roll out all over next year.
