Reminiscent of horse dressage, Disney and Baby-Jane glamour, it also recalls religious and pagan iconography in the tradition of pastoral motifs. Romantic but warped, deformed and embellished, an overload of sweetness: a giant gift-box of chocolates depicting the story of a love that was doomed.
