Vincent Pavesi

Vincent Pavesi is a french/ italian basse who studied singing at the Paris Conservatoire with Régine Crespin and Christiane Eda-Pierre. Further vocal studies in London with Valerie Masterson and Tom Krause. He made his debut with British Youth Opera as Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte and Commendatore in Don Giovanni,two parts that would become his signature roles. He subsequently sang Il Ritorno d'Ulisse in Patria at La Monnaie,Brussels and then in Vienna,Berlin,Amsterdam,Zürich,Lisbon and South Africa. Other roles include Zuniga in Carmen (Nancy),the Chancellor in Stravinsky's Nightingale,Don Prudenzio in Il Viaggio a Reims with maestro Alberto Zedda. With Jean-Claude Malgoire he sang Sarastro (Rennes),title role Hercules (haendel festival Halle),Il Commendatore,Pluton in Lully's Alceste(Brussels). A frequent guest at the Saint-Céré festival and at the Dijon Opera he sang Don Giovanni,Rigoletto(Sparafucile), Sarastro as well as both Mozart and Verdi Requiem. He appeared as Coquenard in the acclaimed production by Alain Garichot of Véronique(Messager) in Lausanne,Rennes and most recently in Nancy and Rouen In Nantes he sang GianniSchicchi,Don Carlo (un frate/Carlo Quinto),Simon Boccanegra and l'Etoile by Chabrier. He also sang Sarastro with the Orchestre National de France,Sparafucile in Norway,and Eumée in Fauré's Penelope at the Wexford Festival. Vincent Pavesi recently sang Pulcinella at the Concertgebow,Amsterdam,Die Ruinen von Athen(Beethoven)with Dresdner Philarmonie under Philippe Entremont and La Juive with Paris Opera,Sirocco in l'Etoile by Chabrier in Nîmes and at the Grand Theatre Luxembourg,the Verdi Requiem in Brussels. Future plans include: Fra Diavolo at the Opéra-Comique ,Paris and in Liège and Seneca in l'Incoronazione di Poppea with "les Paladins" conducted by Jérôme Corréas and directed by Christophe Rauck.
