EVIE HARRIS : SHOOTING STAR! (Short)
DirectorDennis Hensley brings us a true “behind the scenes” look at one of Hollywood’s most glamourous doyennes of yesteryear : Miss Evie Harris. (Remember her? Yeah. Neither did we.) Hilariously played by Jack Plotnick (Drawn Together/Girls Will Be Girls), we are lucky enough to witness Evie as she searches for her star on Hollywood Boulevard. (TRT: 13:20)

OUTTA SYNC (Feature)
A completely improvised “fockumentary” musical following the exploits of an unnamed middle-aged boy band. Goaded on by the cracked dreams of would-be talent manager Miss Phaedra Lee , we witness the “boys” go from nowhere... to somewhere else. “Because you can’t stop the music... unfortunately.” (TRT : 93:00)

CHRONICLES OF IMPECCABLE SPORTSMANSHIP (Short)
Directed by Erika Tasini this short film is a young girl's eye view of the madness that makes up the adult world. Shot on a rooftop in Hollywood, CHRONICLES OF IMPECCABLE SPORTSMANSHIP will remain with you long after the initial viewing. See Erika Tasini's other short film WINTER SEA on July 10th. (TRT: 10:00)

BACK SOON (Feature)
A Rob Williams film, BACK SOON is a haunting, ephemeral true love story that transcends the boundaries of existence itself. After the death of his wife a man must do his best to find a way to continue on with his own life. He finds help in a recently paroled gang member who helps him discover the transformative power of love. Recently screened at the Cannes Market, BACK SOON is a selection of OUTFEST 2007. GUSTOPHER is a series of short films from filmmakers Joe Egender and Samuel Child that chronicle the complete incompetence of two best friends who merge their identities into one. They try dating, adopting a “little brother” (so they can gain entry into the child’s ball pit at ChuckEcheese), getting a driver’s license and applying for a job. (This program presents parts 1 through 5. For parts 6 - 7, come on July 31st.) (TRT : Varies)

CAPTAIN UNDERGARMENTS
The story goes that filmmaker Richard Gonzales came home one day and found his two boys playing in the street wearing various items of male and female underwear. What else to do but shoot them and form a cottage industry? CAPTAIN UNDERGARMENTS is an absolute hoot. (TRT : 07:37)

THE SHABBOS BIGFOOT
A young Jewish woman finally brings a man home to meet the family. And boy are they ever happy to meet him. At first. Director Patrick Coleman Duncan turns the tables on us in this delightful take on familial approval and the need for acceptance. (TRT : 22:00)

I HATE MUSICALS
This quirky short delivers a sucker punch to both the musical theatre and the corporate world as two young lovers have to decide whether or not to stay together when it becomes clear that their opinions differ on the subject of musical theatre. If you hate musicals, you’ll love this one. Directed by Stewart Schill. (TRT : 19:00)

TACO CHICK AND SALSA GIRL
Two Latina children are struck by a meteor and develop super powers. Actress Kay Sedia and Anita Nacho take on Neato-Nazi Barbie and her cohorts in the madly gendered spoof directed by Kurt Koehler . A queer festival favorite, TACO CHICK AND SALSA GIRL is a must see! (TRT : 14:32)

THE ROPES
Director Greg Garthe clearly knows that love can be found anywhere. Even through that incredibly obnoxious co-worker who just won’t shut the fuck up for two seconds so you can get your work done and try, just TRY to get through your stinking day without having to kill someone. Like her. Sometimes all we need to learn are the ropes. (TRT : 13:23)

IRASCIBLE
Ezra Buzzington (Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN/THE HILLS HAVE EYES/GHOST WORLD) and Camden Toy (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER/ANGEL) discover true hate in this short examination of nihilistic dysfunction. Two old farts on a bench in a garden. And origami. Always with the origami. (TRT : 11:48)

LOST DOLLS (Dramatic Short) Director Giovanni Cuarez brings us a rare look into the head of a serial child molester as a mother seeks revenge and finds only horror. (TRT : 11:00)

LOCKED OUT (Comedy Short)
A Latino man discovers just how tricky it can be to get back to where you once belonged when there’s a well-meaning, but completely incompetent bureaucracy standing between you and yours. Directed by Jennifer Luckett. (TRT : 04:59)

GAYDAR! (Comedy Short)
The title pretty much sums it all up. What if there was an instrument that could decipher the gay guy from the metro guy. How would that effect the world of winks, nods, nudges and innuendo? One mad queen sets out to find out. Directed by Larry Lafond, GAYDAR features the late Charles Nelson Reilly in one of his last roles and Jim J. Bullock. (TRT : 20:00)

Definitely NOT that Ken Russell version! Director Ramzi Abed twists the eternal LA murder mystery even further by incorporating a modern day movie-making tale chronicling the event. The beautiful Kristen Kerr plays Lisa Small, an actress who gets the break of a lifetime when she’s cast in the role of Elizabeth Short. As she dives deeper into the script, she propels herself into living out the last days of the Black Dahlia. Also featuring Un Pop artist and former Marilyn Manson band member Gidget Gein . The GUSTOPHER series from Program 2 continues with series numbers 6 and 7.

KARL BITES (Short)
Fast Karl is a Ginormous (2' tall!) "metal" robot painted blood red (that looks silver in this charming black and white short). Today he’s a vampire and is going to kill his mistress. But she has a plan. From the warped mind of filmmaker Fred Wilder comes a very brief tale of the little robot that couldn’t. (TRT : 02:00)

SCREAM OF THE BIKINI (Short)
Lord deliver us. The insanity that is the combination of writer Bill Robens and director Kiff Scholl has resulted in a hilarious spoof of mid-century Science Fiction/Jiggle B movies. This brief introduction brings international intrigue, super models, computer chips and martinis together in the swingingest take on poorly dubbed efforts since Plan 9 From Outer Space. RENDEZVOUS
A man who has been abducted by aliens over 35 times is suddenly met with a piece of his life he didn’t even know he had in director Charles Mitri’s intriguing short film. Originally a one-act play called “Two Peas In a Pod”, Mitri and fellow writer Michael Mizgalski turned their play into a film that’s played several film festivals nationwide. (TRT : 15:30)

MOVIE MONSTER INSURANCE (Short)
Who would cover the hospital bills if you were suddenly attacked by Frankenstein's monster, The Mummy or rabid Zombies? Somebody's gotta take the hit! Director Paula Haifley offers a possible solution. (TRT : 03:58)

HOLLYWOOD UFO (Documentary Feature)
What you see is what you get. Director George Willis plays it close to the chest in this examination of the various typically Californian takes on alien abduction and conspiracy theories. Through his unique subjects, Willis manages to convey both the paranoia and logic of severe accounts and theories. Funny, odd and baffling. (TRT : 68:42)

Parts four, five and six of director Nickolas Rossi ’s haunting SONGS TO PLAY AT MY FUNERAL series. Interview subjects discuss the loss of their dear friend, filmmaker Nickolas Rossi . A continuation of the series started in Program 5. (TRT : varies)

KliKt (Short)
Director Garret D. Tiedemann gives us a view into his surreal vision with KliKt.. A man alone in his house receives a package. With that simple premise, Tiedemann unleashes a wondrously bizarre world of paranoia and imagination. (TRT : 11:22)

IMAGINATION (Feature)
A doctor finds himself baffled by the intimate connection between a pair of twins. One of whom he’s diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome (a form of autism) and the other going blind due to a degenerative eye disease. Yet how can she see everything her sister sees? The Leiser Brothers ( Eric and Jeff )have created a world as beautiful as it is chilling. Through animation, stop-motion and delicately shot puppetry, they tell the story of a sensitive set of twins who are trying to understand what we can’t even begin to comprehend. (TRT : 70:00)
