About Me

Why not, right? And, God Bless "Bionic Woman"... Let's just call this a work in progress...like all of life, really. My friend (& Superhero), Richard & I have been having a blast making music. We got tight when my cousin Kevin, his wife Sheri, Mike Bernier, and some other merry-makers started making music in the Fall of Aught Six. I'm taking forever to mix that, (soon! I swear!) so, we keep busy as best we can coming up w/ new stuff. This here is a sample. More coming. I damn well hope so, anyway. This keeps me sane...Thank you for listening. Maybe, if we've been lucky enough, you'll hear some new truths. I know I have. This experience has been nothing short of sublime. Namaste...... hugs & kisses-jj

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: I wrote these tunes, that's me on guitars, banjo & mandolin. (I'll do more when it's not too embarrassing--for you, the listener) ......"Lil' Ray" is the latest. Jeff Waz on the skins, Nate the Sax Guy on the horn & whistle, Mick on the bass, Novak ..s, Richard & I on guitars. It's as ready as it'll be for now......My buddy, Fritz-of-Dubai co-wrote "UterUs". His idea, his title. I freakin' love that song. Dan Fogelle & I recorded it in Feb. Aught Eight........My sister Rebecca, (tragically underutillized,) is the owner of the lovely female voice you hear......Richard Penn does the lion's share of the work. A workaholic in the best sense of the word. He's got an astonishing "tool box" of instruments & inspirations. And he doesn't sleep--which is a good thing for a guy who mixes music......One of my BFFs since 6th grade, Mike plays drums on "First Kiss". I'll put his ass to more work soon......A huge shout-out to Kirsten Roeters & Steve F. for helping me get this stuff online......Most of these folks are in my "Top Friends"--check 'em out.
Influences: The Band, Martin Sexton, Van The Man, Little Feat, Jackson Browne, Patti Griffin, Neil Young, Skynyrd, Jeff Buckley, VAN POLICE, Ray Charles, Jim Croce, Ryan Adams, Indigo Girls, David Crosby, Anybody involved in the film "Once", Charlie Hunter, Bob Marley, Willie Nelson, DMB, George Harrison, Springsteen, Chet Baker, Del Amitri, Doc Watson, Mr. Zimmerman, and the beat goes on...
Sounds Like: a drunken troubador...and his friends
Record Label: would be lovely, wouldn't it?
