Hello Bobcat fans!!! I am Sonja... the daughter of the Charlotte Bobcats ex-assistant coach, Gary Kloppenburg, and I am the grand-daughter of defense guru Bob Kloppenburg from the Seattle Supersonics. Yes basketball runs in my genes and I have always been the #1 fan for every team my dad or grandpa coached. But the Bobcats are my favorite team to date! :) I have a younger brother & sister, Ian and Carlotta. I am married, for over 3 years to my wonderful husband Randy, and we live happily in San Diego, California.
I made this site because I wanted to keep my other profile more personal. I never add people I don't know (for safety reasons) but since I started the Bobcat Connection group... I was getting too many friend requests from Bobcat fans... so I figured I better make a fan site. This Bobcat profile is unique from others because I am friends with the players, coaches, dancers, drummers, DJs, many other staff members... and of course other big-time Bobcat fans! Most importantly, there will be NO FAKE PROFILES of Emeka Okafor, Adam Morrison, etc.... ALL FAKE PROFILES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL BE DELETED IMMEDIATELY!!!
The Charlotte Bobcats include outsanding players such as Jason Richardson, Emeka Okafor, Adam Morrison, Sean May, Raymond Felton, Gerald Wallace, Earl Boykins, Jared Dudley, Ryan Hollins, and my personal favorite... Matt Carroll. The Bobcats are in their 4th season in the NBA and they have proven to be tough competitors and all heart. Michael Jordan is part owner along with Nelly and of course majority owner Bob Johnson, who is also the founder of BET. Bernie Bickerstaff was the Bobcat's head coach as well as the GM for the first 3 seasons of Charlotte Bobcat history. Bernie is now in the office while Sam Vincent has taken over as head coach.
Lastly, thanks for your Bobcat support! If you are a new Bobcat fan... you have chosen a great team to support. Those of you in Charlotte who are dissappointed about the Hornets outcome... just give the Bobcats a chance. The Bobcats have put together a great team so far, but they need the support from the whole state of North Carolina... Sooooo... go to the games, buy Bobcat merchandise, and be patient... it will be worth the wait! :) Be sure to stop by often to show your Bobcat support... THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
