I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am a graduate student in Astronomy at Indiana University. I'm preparing to take my qualifying exams to become a PhD candidate this August. Once I pass that thing, I'm done with classes and exams... forever! (Well, taking them at least.)
I do research on this guy. .He is a globular cluster named M15 and he might help me get my PhD.
I also teach classes which I very much enjoy.
I love astronomy and you if do too you can go here to see pretty pictures and learn some stuff.
I also very much love music - especially punk, as well as indie, hardcore, thrash, new wave, metal, electronic, jazz, and classical.
I not only enjoy punk music - I think it is fascinating and extremely important social movement that provides me with hope for the world - and I love punk shows and punk culture.
I play guitar every chance I get and I really want to get a band started. I've been having a hard time finding a drummer, so if anyone that happens to be reading this is a Indianan drummer that is interested in playing in a punk band... contact me! please!
I played guitar in a sweet band called Missing In Action for about 7 years - more recently I played guitar in a great band called The Latex Nuns . They are still playing and still awesome, check them out.
I like trees and plants... and all the little critters in the world. I am trying to do my best to do my part in keeping them alive - although I'm not perfect. I'm trying to be better.
I like to talk, I like to teach, I like to learn... so talk to me, learn from me, and teach me about things. (and come play drums in a band with me).
