______________________________________________________ Chelsea Korka of Cooper City, Florida is an American beauty pageant contestant, model, and singer. She is a current contestant on the CW's Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll ______________________________________________________ Chelsea grew up surrounded by boys, skateboarding, playing video games, and reading comic books. Her brothers and their friends were interested in Marvel Comics, and she, herself, became a fan of the X-Men. Chelsea describes her school experience as being an 'outsider', mainly because she was overweight. Prior to filming for the Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll, Chelsea was busy balancing her life as a waitress, singer and dancer in her hometown of Cooper City, Florida ______________________________________________________ Pageantry: In April 2006, Korka won the title of Miss West Broward USA 2007, to the surprise of her family. As Miss West Broward USA, Korka has participated in a number of charitable events, including the Miami Beach "Best Buddies" Gala Event. ______________________________________________________ In July 2006, Korka represeted West Broward in the Miss Florida USA 2007 pageant, but did not place. The event, televised throughout the state, was won by Jenna Edwards of North Miami. Korka crowned Sulema Sanchez as the new Miss West Broward USA 2008 in March 2007. ______________________________________________________Korka was chosen as one of nine finalists on the CW reality television series, Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll and has made the top three. Throughout the competition, she has been criticized by the judges for her lack of dance training, but lauded for her vocal talents. Despite her lack of formal dance training, she has been praised for her ability to quickly learn choreography for the dance routines.
