As a transplanted Cajun I've really come to love the culture and its people ... Cajuns always want to make you smile and they never fail to help you have a good time ... trust me, they WILL throw a party at the drop of a hat! The humidity might be high and the storms might be mighty ... but this REALLY is a Paradise!
After working in a 18 wheeler for the better part of a decade I am now working as accounts payable manager at a high end clothing store in Lafayette. It keeps me quite busy and in a perpetually professional mode ... however, that's not completely who I am. The advantage of trucking was I could be myself as long as we weren't in the presence of company rep's, and then some of them didn't care!! Seriously though ... Before my life got turned upside down I could be quite rowdy and rather ... uhmm ... UNsophisticated, LoL especially after a couple of Margaritas!! Even though the path of my life has changed so very drastically ... the time will come again when I will so enjoy spending time cutting up and being crazy with my friends and family, riding the Harley (with myMan as my guardian angel), playing with my critters, or just chillin' and surfin' & chattin' online ... that is what life is about after all ... love and laughter, good times with good people.

As much as I enjoyed trucking and seeing the countryside while getting paid ... I really don't miss the hectic 24 hour call scenario of the oilfield and it's equipment transport, but one day real soon I will see my truck back on the road and doing the job she was meant to do ... providing a living for her owners. Keith often worried about things beyond his control, how I would be taken care of after he was gone was one of them ... well, he left me the means parked in the pasture. We parked here there because of his health and my fear that he would take a son from a Mother or a husband from a wife, I wouldn't have been able to bear that guilt along with my grief over losing my soulmate and even though it may have been a bit premature, I don't regret my decision ... So keep your eyes open ... soon Faith will roll again, in loving memory of her master.

I've always enjoy many things outdoors, like fishing or camping, being a hobby horticulturist. I have many flower beds as I'm a HUGE Daylily, Hibiscus, and Rose fan. I hope to use my hobby as part of my recovery therapy in dealing with all that has happened ... dealing with him not being there ... working with me in the yard, reminding me to water my potted plants, watching him play (there is no other word for it ~ the man just had too much fun cuttin' grass)on the riding lawn mower as my Rotti bounced around him barking her head off acting like she was going to "catch" him
My life has changed so drastically and I'm sure at a loss as to how to get it all back to ... normal (dare I even use THAT adjective)... but I know Keith expects me to carry on, and I know that God has a path for me ... please pray for me ~ for the love of God and Family and Friends is what will see me through ...
