About Me

Myspace Layout Stealer My Musicianship days started when I was about 8, when I was inspired by Stevie Wonder to play the Harmonica. I wont get into all the fascinating details now, (mainly because I can't remember them), but I will tell you about my Guitar days. At 9, There was an opportunity at my primary school to learn Guitar. I decided to do it just for fun, but I soon rose to the top of the class and even decided to quit playing Harmonica so that I could concentrate more on my one instrument. Of course I now wish that I hadn't! I carried Guitar on into High School, where I still had the same teacher. Much to my contempt, my Guitar teacher left at the end of my first year, and was replaced by someone, well lets just say.....I hated him. So after the first year with him, I left Classical Guitar and started Electric Guitar with my all time favourite teacher Mr Burton. I am still having lessons with him, and recently started playing bass guitar as well.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Just me so far but my friend Alex is most likely to be the first person I play with.
Influences: My main influences are my brothers, Ben and Joe Broughton. They're fantastic Musicians and have taught me alot. My father was a huge influence on me, introducing me to lots of different styles of music. He helped me to learn the Harmonica, even though he couldn't play it himself, and is the main reason that i'm a musician today. My current guitar teacher Mr Burton is a great teacher as well, and I don't know where I would be without him. He is always happy and I think enjoys teaching me. My other influences include- Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, BB King, Buddy Guy, Alex Binyon, Rory Gallagher, Derek Trucks, David Lindley, Stevie Wonder, Django Reinhardt, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Larry Adler, Victor Wooten, Stanley Jordan, The Conservatoire Folk Ensemble...
