About Me

im really rather simple but really very complex at the same time. i am twenty three and feel certain that i have accomplished way too much for my young age. i am currently a marketing/pr director on the island & volunteer at a youth group & for big brothers big sisters once a week. my heart is huge, i stop to appreciate those who struggle in life and i stop to offer a helping hand to a complete stranger. i strive for not only inner peace, but world peace, too.
my heart is made up of so much love for so many people and so many things.
my family is undoubtedly, my support system... every crazy dream i have, every goal i want to accomplish, they stand behind me 210%. my friends are the crazy family in which, i sadly, did not choose for myself... they are just the best. we all are so different from one another, but all so alike at the same time. i speak my mind, maybe too often. and hands down, believe in equality for all. dont even try and debate me on the topic.
my life is consumed by getting my masters degree in psychotherapy right now at mercy college in the city. my TRUE degree is in print journalism / PR & advertising with a minor in women's studies. my ultimate dream is to write a series of children's books on the art of growing up... using all three of my degrees to conquer one simple, yet complex goal.
my heart is driven by the arts. literature. music. theatre. cultures. traveling. photography. dance... & the like. i am a self proclaimed literature snob & truly appreciate unknown authors and support them. i go to bookstores on friday nights for fun.
autumn is my favorite season. i love thanksgiving. i love baking christmas cookies. and i enjoy the warm feeling of families being together. oh, and i absolutely LOOOVEEEEE pumpkin fraps from any sort of coffee shop. and not to mention, my favorite beer, sam adams octoberfest is totally in season. bonfires, or joe and i's chimenea parties, with some good tunes, cheap beer and roasted marshmallows and hoodies are my weekends.
OTHER: love cheap beer in big pint glasses... on that note: love bars where the bartenders know your name. i lived in spain to study some artists and lived in france only to get freaked out by the mona lisa. i almost always have candles burning. i love campfires with an acoustic guitar goin round and the drinks to be strong. manhattan is my life. i enjoy anything burberry related - the fabric, the smell, the look, the feel...amazing. i dont care how trendy they may be - my uggs are the best part of my day. ive come to the point where putting on a pair of sweatpants after a long day and drinking tea is so rewarding. i love live music. especially live music in bars. i go to yoga at 5:30 a.m. and my family really believes i am crazy for doing so. i hate taking out the trash...both the real trash and the trash that is clogging up your mind. i am heading to the west coast for this first time this march. i am TOTALLY going to see the spice girls on 2/6/08, dont playa hate. i am pretty eccentric. i knit. i make my own jewlery. i am kind of obsessive when it comes to grammar and will critique whatever is in front of me. fire island is my retreat. i have seen spring awakening more times then i can count on both my hands which is ultimately not something you really want to admit, but i am writing my thesis on it so i feel i have reasoning.
