Adam Aneve was formed in early 2002 by Adam Hallowell and John Penkal. Their musical creativity flourished for a few years, but their interests clashed in late 2004. John quit the band, seeking to form his own project, and Adam was left with what he had: a sinister voice, a guitar, a keyboard, and a computer. His music has been compared to Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails, though his religious tastes are much different in association to his lyrics.
