DJ Hi-Fly (FREERANGE DJs)

As a long term member in the southwest scene, being involved with almost every club night/brand at one time or another, DJ Hi-Fly (or Seb to his friends) has always had a good outlet for a vast range of dance music. This has taught him a lot and clearly shows in the diversity of his recent sets. Always looking for the perfect sound, having a true passion for the music and a very impressive record collection, Seb is pushing all the things that dj'ing is about. After playing his first gig (suprisingly well) after only 4 months on the decks, he gained regular guest slots at lots of clubs and bars around the southwest, and went on to bag his first weekly residency at Truro hotspot Bar200. Not liking to only play one sound, he started experimenting with new styles and pushing new sounds. About a year later he had found his unique style, which can only described as "ElectroTechFunkMinimalPsyTechnoBreaks", shortened to "Tech-Funk". After running his own nights with good friend and fellow DJ Kianyte, under the name "Illnature", resident Olly G created the "Freerange Party Society", selecting Hi-Fly amoungst the other Freerange djs, Klimax, Ave, Siq=Note, Hanzo and DJ Distance. In 2007 Hi-Fly secured Freerange thier biggest gig to date, at the BeachBreakLive festival. Playing the headline set of the first night to over 2000 'mad for it' students! Later on in the year set up Freerange with thier bi-weekly breakfast show on the worlds biggest breakbeat radio station NSB Radio, which is still running to date. This year DJ Hi-Fly has been featured with Freerange in southwest 'award winning music and lifestyle magazine' 24/7, helps run another show on Southwestunderground.net, has had bookings around the country including this years N.A.S.S. festival, return bookings at BeachBreakLive/Surfstock festivals, Waveform festival (after winning the NextWave Competition) and as always loads of shows throughout southwest clubland.
