PAUL BRADLEY

About Me

YOU NEEDN'T READ MUCH OF THIS. BUT PERHAPS YOU MAY NOTE THAT MOST OF WHAT I MAKE IS OUT OF MY HEADHEART, QUICK, EMBARRASSED, UNPREPARED, CHILDLIKE. I HAVE NO "SET". I HAVE NO "IDENTITY", ONLY THE NAIVE DEXTERITIES OF THE MOMENT. I HOPE YOU LIKE ME.Making his sort of, usually spontaneous & often contrary, music since the age of thirteen, PAUL BRADLEY has been active across rock, folk, experimental, "world", "contemporary" and jazz musical genres as a songwriter, guitarist and vocalist with bands including PARALEPOMENON, MANSFIELDS LOBSTERS, REFLEX ACTION, THE LOW SPARK, ME , MIDNIGHT BROS, KEIN BART, CIUNAS, BOS VER, BOWMANGHANI, ELECTRO BEDOUIN ENCAMPMENT, BIG FISH, CROW and his current bands ORGANELLES , BREATHERS, SENSORIUM, SPIRIT READERS & LOOPFORCE (this is added to his extensive collaborations with, e.g., THE BLUE AEROPLANES, MOONFLOWERS, Corin from ALPHA, JIM BARR, KEVIN BYRNE, CHRIS POWELL, MYKE VINCE, KATIE ELLIOTT, ANDY KEEP, SPIRO, DUB FROM ATLANTIS, etc. etc.) Paul has (dis)graced stages to include NEC, Glastonbury Festival's "2nd" stage, Purcell Rooms, Brownies in NYC, the Bunkr in Praha, La Cigalle in Paris, Harp Bar Belfast & several more. As well as performing, composing & recording music since 1977, Paul has also contributed to various film soundtracks (BBC natural history, Discovery Channel etc.) and worked extensively for a time in the early 90s with pioneering Welsh physical theatre/new dance ensemble CONSCIOUS OPERA.Thought I'd better update this dusty log. Observers may spot that I'm turning over the playlist quite frequently, partly down to self-impatience, partly due to a delusional compulsion to show something slightly, tinily, faintly, marginally NEW to the faithful listener. I kind of hate all of it; occasionally pardoning a collaboration, or else a few bars of a solo, given safe distance of months/years post-performance.One fine day a truly multitracked, produced, sweated, fermented, proved, risen, baked and gestated album will tumble headlong somewhere. All being well, with the help of some good friends. I hope to let you know before death.PUBLISH & BE SAVED!!!
