Jammin Todd Edwards has a history of Djing and hosting many events. At the tender age of 12 years old he started to muck around with music playing a variety of music back in the day off of cassette, trying to alter and mix. He played his public school events and moved right along into high school by djing every single school dance. The following was huge. Packing venues at the age of 16 Todd was working at a club back in the day called Club 404. He started as a doorman there and finding that he didn't want his ass kicked every weekend wasn't so much fun. "I was always a fan of dance music" Todd stated and even the club music played at his club by other Djs, he fell in so very much love with. He spent his time traveling to Hamilton to get the newest music possible. When the music supply ran dry, he started taking trips to Toronto to inundate his library with rare club sounding tracks. Bookings came in every weekend and the support was enormous. The years past booking after booking came and went in the clubs. He did various Charity events, proving at the tender age he cared to give back what the community gives to him. I know for a fact he is very proud of the fact that he helped generate money to donate towards the Hamilton Cancer Treatment Center, which today is Canada's leading cancer treatment center in all of Canada, currently located on Concession Street in Hamilton. A donation of over $5,000 dollars was made on behalf of the fundraiser that was held at Barton Secondary School In Hamilton, Ontario. He always said, "I helped put a few bricks in the wall" and felt so proud knowing that he did that. At the age of 21 Todd ended up meeting a radio personality at a local radio station who became a huge fan of. The call letters, CING FM Energy 108Fm (Yes the legendary Dance Music Radio Station) was pumping out the greatest in Dance. Todd met the Morning man at a local live on location and set his career in motion. "Joining the Energy 108 morning team under the alias as "Producer T" was amazing!" he stated. "We had so much fun and Chemistry as time went on and ratings were there to prove it." As past co-hosts came and went, Todd had an urgency of getting on the air and sharing in the fun. With this brought new segments to the show. "It was truly radio for the mind," he states. "Making up funny and silly day to day radio bits with sound effects made all the people imagine what his character that I produced and voiced. My Character (known as Yolanda) would always end up getting in silly troubles and fiascoes of life." After almost 3 years of side kicking the radio show, a falling out came between the morning man and Todd decided to leave the show. Much to the shag rim of the listener ship, the show fell short in ratings after leaving. Not lasting a year after he left the "Breakfast Jam" was off the air. After leaving Todd took various jobs Djing and rode the wave (Sorta Speak) from his Radio days at Energy 108. While with Energy the club gigs came. Playing venues all over southern Ontario and Western New York. He played some of the biggest clubs in Ontario and was billed as one of the top 10 DJs in Toronto for the Energy Rush #2 Event to Dj, which took place at Ontario Place. Playing such venues such as; Fusions in Niagara Falls NY, The Viper Club (now known as Big Bucks in St Catharine's) Stages and Inner City Nightclubs in Kitchner, All ages events in Newmarket (he states that he seriously cant remember that far because of a tricycle accident that he had when he was 6 LOL!)Acropolis, Mohawk Pub Night, The Asylum and Rockabillies in Hamilton, Various Tailgate Charlies locations throughout the Niagara region. "There's been so many club gigs, I cant remember them all. It was always party central and lost alot of brain cells because of it." As time flew by (of course while having fun as they say) Todd was surfing the radio dial when he heard this new station called "FM 101 The Dance Planet" on the air. Making a few phone calls with the contacts he had made over the years, set him up to be on air. He went from a variety of time slots on the station and finally found his calling in the clubs once again working for them. "People always ask me, how the heck did you come up with your name "Jammin"? I simply stated it was a mistake!! A co-worker (Known as Big D or Darren Laidman) was plugging one of my gigs on the air. He was suppose to say, make sure you Jam with Todd Edwards, and HE said join Jammin Todd Edwards and the name stuck and is history to this very day!" Live to Air Broadcasts and remotes were his thing! He ended up delivering amazing music spinning live to air at various clubs in the Niagara Region and Buffalo. "Allot of my success I have to say is based on my crowd interaction, they love when I address the crowds and make them apart of the night, because mainly THEY ARE MAKING THE NIGHT Complete and why I'm there." Various clubs embraced Jammin Todd and he ended up with gigs all over. The likes of "Club Extreme, Cell Block, Impaxx, Front 54, Flash Nightclub in Buffalo, and again... to many brain cells are dead he states LOL!" Jammin Todd was one of the busiest jocks going from venue to venue. "Imagine partying for a living Tuesday to Sunday Night for a while, and see how you felt afterwards **He laughs**" he then was forced to leave after the The Dance planet changed format into the River, which currently is now on the Frequency of 105.1FM. From his time away from working in commercial radio Todd built a nice Dj friendly studio and came up with a game plan to take his thoughts internationally. "Now I can take my music and message to another level," he stated, and that he did. Djing for a syndicated audience for radio stations under a newly developed company he tried to make his mark in a syndicate kind of fashion. "The debts of society rolled in and the syndication avenue was quashed but still is alive and still lurking." It was a time thing, and I couldn't focus especially when a family relative got very sick, who was very near and dear to me. In my eyes, family is the most important element to have because they will be behind you no matter what life's avenues throw at you." With all this said and done, Jammin Todd stayed Djing for the years to come, and finally hooked up with Dj Drakkar on the phone, and the rest is history from there. Currently Jammin Todd Edwards is on The New Z101 doing the Daily Throwback Monday to Friday @ 12 Noon and a regular on Air time slot of 7p-12a Monday to Friday. Also he works closely on another radio program but goes undercover.. but if you listen to the style, you should know!!If you can't get the station where you live log on to the live stream, then you can listen to it anywhere in the world online.
