Hi, my name is Sammy. I am blind. I had a friend write this for me. I want people in the world to know about people like me. I guess they call me a shut-in. I didn't know what that ment until someone had to explain it to me. It means I wasn't let out of my house for 25 years. Some people actually want it that way. I can't imagine that with this big beautiful world that God made...but that's not my story.
My brother Harold has looked after me while mama was away. I thought she was sick. I think she got sick from that horrible day, but that is another story too. Harold is a good brother, he taught me how to put those 'licky-things' on envelopes for his business. He makes real good beer. The best in Harrilson. Well, I can do everything, almost everything an ordinary folk can do. I clean myself, and dress, and even brush my teeth.
I love wearing my mama's clothes, they are so soft. They make me feel real good. It reminds me of her cuz she's gone too. I love my mama. Some day Harold said I'll get to see her again. I hope it is soon.
