I started out my love for electronic music at a young age listening to various songs on the 8-Bit Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) - pausing the game or stopping where I stood just to hear the wonderful sounds coming out of the TV speakers. Throughout childhood, I enjoyed many different types of video game music (VGM) and even to this day.
EDM started to be my main music listening focus around 1999 and never changed since. In 2000, I purchased my first turntables: Stanton STR8-60's that I still have and use to this day. With upgraded needles (Shure M44-7's), and a different mixer (Numark DXM06) things started to pick up. I put the 'tables down for a few years until January 2007. I started practicing and networking which eventually led to my first gig: Offline Steppin' Vol. 1 on June 30th 2007. Since then, I've been enjoying the spread of EDM all over the state of Ohio.
On December 31st 2009, an idea was born: mixing Hardstyle with Dubstep. Scott Ruckus and I played a mixture of both of those genres and we called it Dubstyle. This style for me has evolved into a personal love that I'd like to share with everyone. Apparently, many producers also had this revelation at the same time and started producing tracks that encompassed both styles as well. Coicendentally, they call this style Dubstyle. Although I am diverse enough to deviate (see below), I am dedicating my efforts to spread the word of this merger so that others may share in it's glory.
My style of mixing and performing is based on feeling. Aside from the first track, I never plan out anything else of my mixes. Everything I play is unplanned and unrehearsed. You will never hear two of the same mixes when I play out or when I record. I play what feels right coming next. Some might preplan everything you hear that night or might plan their recorded mixes out. I base everything off emotion and feeling.
