Bev's Curling in California

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

There really IS curling in California! and I curl out of the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club.
------
The ELECTIONS are over and I have been installed as Board Member-at-Large!
Thank you to all of the members of the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club. I know many of you wanted me to run for President, and actually nominated me for Vice President as well, and though I chose not to run for those positions at this time, I am honored by the warmth of our many conversations on the topic.
I did, however, accept the nomination for Member-at-Large and as such am excited to bring my brand of business into the Curling mix.
Members of the Board are responsible for guiding the club. We get input from the members and work together to develop long term and yearly goals. We are responsible for making sure the club meets those goals and are accountable for the club's budget and fiscal integrity.

------
I started curling in April 2006 and was fortunate enough to receive the expert instruction of many fine curlers out of Canada. The ex-Pat Canadian population in the Bay Area is deep and our potential for growth in the club is extensive.
While still "a new curler", I am previliged to have been able to jump on the Competitive Track:
2007 Mountain Pacific Regionals: Champions
2007 USCA Club Nationals: 9th Place
2007 Pacific International Cup: 13th Place
UPCOMING EVENTS FOR THE NEW SEASON:
2007 Holiday Bonspiel; Seattle, WA Dec 7-9
2008 Mountain Pacific Regionals; Seattle, WA: Status TBD
2008 Mixed Bonspiel; Seattle, WA Jan 25-27
2008 USCA Club Nationals; Mankato, MN: Status TBD
2008 Pacific International Cup; Richmond, BC: Status TBD
And of course, if a Mixed Nationals or Women's Nationals team wants to pick me up... shoot me an email!
-------
AND - What self-respecting Athlete wouldn't want a Sponsor? If you and your company would like to talk to me about ways to Sponsor my Curling Career... and / or my Club Nationals team, please email me. I would be delighted to talk to you.
-----
Besides my driving desire to compete in Curling, credit for this success is shared with our Expert and Dedicated Instructors - Canadians all - who formed a unique style of training, one that has not been utilitized in the USA before.
CLASSES I'VE TAKEN
Level I: Beginning Adult Curling - 12 weeks
Designed to teach the fundamentals of curling, experienced instructors begin with the game basics.
Level II: Intermediate Adult Curling - 8 weeks
Developed to aid curlers with the technical aspects of the game.
If you're interested in learning more about the sport, or about being a fan in support of the San Francisco Bay Area Curling Club, please email me.
