parker

the short version is we started after putting something together for a battle of the bands. that moved on to a band that was formed to play in our local school. then after some thought we put the two together and formed Parker!
The long version is, I guess it all started the day after the practice for the school gig. Paul sent James a txt saying start a band with me! After a few weeks of deciding what the band would become James was in. With just a Bass Guitarist and a Drummer, Paul’s band was in need of some electrics. They enquired the talent of the one they call Chad. Not allot of people know why they call him Chad and that's just the way it is. Chad took some time though. During this time Chad & James worked together in a Battle of the Bands performance and also the 3lads worked together in setting up a temp band for playing in the local school during their lunch time & Easter service. I think that kind of done it for Chad and a week later he was in. With Paul, James & Chad writing some material for the band, all they needed now was a singer. Still fresh off their old band, Paul’s brother Jonny showed interest and was greatly interested in singing again. Jonny sang for Parkers first gig but sadly realised that Parker wasn't for him and decided to step down. However, that left Paul as lead vocals with Chad as backing vocals. The band was set and all that was left to get, was a name. After allot of thought, the name 'parker' came up from Paul. As you would do, James asked Paul WHY? The reason being said Paul is - Peter Parker (Spiderman), was given a gift, a power. He had to choose what to do with this gift. And he chose to use his gift to help others and to save them from trouble. We have been given gifts from God and we have chosen use our gifts, to play our instruments, is what we are using to help others through trouble in their lives! And there you have it, 3lads – Paul, James & Chad - Parker!
