About Me
The name Resin I has a spiritual meaning which is: (R)astaman- (E)spiritualidad-(S)abiduria-(I)nI-(N)atural.I was born on October 29th,1986, in Santiago de Chile. From my childhood I was always interested in cultures from the streets. At the age of eleven I got interested in rap, because some of my cousins used to dance, so I learned how to dance rap. Then, at the age of thirteen I started singing rap music with two friends in a band called Sintrabelicos. Sintrabelicos just worked for a year, then, when the band finished a frien and I started a new project with the same name, but with another kind of lyrics. Unfortunately it just worked for three months. After that, I continued writting by myself. Three years later, when I was sixteen, I met some B-Boys , so I started learning how to Break Dance, something he had always wanted to do. While I used to dance, I kept on writting.
Since 2006 I started listening Reggae-dancehall music and I realised that I had to make a change in my life and that change was finding the truth and folow a way of rightousness. Therefore, I got interested in Rasta culture, since then I began to write conscious lyrics which talk about facts that have happened in my own life. Also I write about things that I thinks are wrong in the world we are living in. But my lyrics also talks about giving praises to The Most High Jah.
Nowadays I still breakdance and make conscious Reggae-Dancehall music for the society, spreading a message of love, and trying to struggle against the sistem "babylon".El nombre Resin I tiene un significado espiritual que es: (R)astaman- (E)spiritualidad-(S)abiduria-(I)nI-(N)atural.Naci el 29 de Octubre de 1986, en Santiago de Chile. Desde mi niñes siempre estube interesado en culturas callejeras. A la edad de 11 años me interese en el rap porque algunos de mis primos bailaban, asi que aprendi a bailar. Luego, a la edad de 13 años comenze a cantar rap con dos amigos en una banda llamada Sintrabelicos. Sintrabelicos solo funciono por un año, despues, cuando la banda termino, un amigo y yo comenzamos un nuevo projecto con el mismo nombre, pero con otro tipo de canciones. Desafortunadamente solo funciono por tres meses. Despues de eso continue escribiendo solo. Tres años despues, cuano tenia 16 años conoci algunos B-boys, asi que comenze a bailar Break dance, algo que siempre habia querido hacer. Mientras bailaba me mantube escribiendo.
Desde el 2006 comenze a escuchar Reggae y dancehall y me di cuenta de que tenia que hacer un cambio en mi vida, ese cambio era encontrar la verdad y seguir un camino de rectitud, por lo tanto, me interese en la cultura rasta, desde entonces comenze a escribir letras concientes que hablan acerca de cosas que han ocurrido en mi vida. Tambien escribo acerca de cosas que me parecen mal en el mundo en que vivimos y tambien muy importante, dando alabanzas al Alticimo Jah.
