FRIGID cultivates an aura of ambiguity, flaunting a sexy post-punk attitude with a disarmingly outrageous approach. From his days as a pianist and ballet dancer to his more recent rock n’roll transformation, the multi-displinary Montreal artist, just back from a 10 month excursion in Berlin, is continuously evolving and expressing himself without compromise.
Dark tales of love and decadence serve as a script on FRIGID's album “Bedroom Sessions†( recorded entirely in his bedroom ). "Mastered" by HARRIS NEWMAN, known for his work with ARCADE FIRE, FRIGID's first record is an invitation to enter an intimate yet dense world where joy and pain collide into an electro-fied rock n'roll frenzy.
On stage, the intensity is multiplied. Bringing new life to alternative music and the electronic movement, FRIGID's live shows are physical, wild and intense. Surrounded by his talented collaborators, Richard Martineau on guitar and Peepshow Pat on drums, the driven performer exudes an electric eccentricity. Despite the lack of an album out, the newcomer has already performed at many prestigious events worlwide, alongside International bands including THE GOSSIP, BLOC PARTY, VIVE LA FÊTE, THE KILLS, INTERPOL, IAMX, THE ORGAN, LADYTRON DJs and new-wave legend PLASTIC BERTRAND ( whom is also a guest vocalist on FRIGID’s french anthem “Machine!†).
From writing and producing his songs, to designing his album cover, upcoming T-Shirt graphics and flamboyant myspace page, FRIGID is the perfect example of today's music industry "Do it yourself...and do it well" attitude. With his inexhaustible energy now fuelled by the upcoming release of "Bedroom sessions", FRIGID takes center stage. Promising crazy ear and eye candy for many years to come.
