I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. I have lived in almost every neighborhood in the city. Raised in Irish Catholic schools from the age of 4-17. I played chess competitively in high school, president of the science club, social awareness club, games club, intramural volleyball, football, mushball and soccer.I took grades seriously until i discovered beer, then i decided to join the Marines when i was 15. Unfortunately i was too young and had to wait until i was 17 and still had to get the written permission from my parents to leave the house. My military career started in MCRD San Diego. I left in the summer on my mothers birthday, and graduated in November of 1987 from platoon 1091. As soon as i finished my first trip back home, i returned to 29 Palms for more training in the field Communications and Electronics. After completing 2 years of intensive studies i was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. I was in the 1st Mar Div 1st FSSG. We were mobilized in 1991 for Operation Desert Storm and i finished my first contract in august that year. I reenlisted in the reserves for another 4 years and stayed until 2005 finally honorably discharged as a Corporal.The years after that were filled with many attempts at completing my education. I have attended San Francisco State Univercity, CCSF, USF, and Heald College. I currently am working on a second degree in Fiber Optics Telecommunications. I hope to attend USF in the Fall of 2009 and continue studying towards degrees in Engineering and Education. I have learned that you cannot be competitive in the work force without a superior education in your field or extensive work experience.Keeping me grounded and focused seems to be the hardest thing, i have a tendency to go to the deep end and try to over complicate things by thinking too much about what can go wrong,worrying about superfluous things that make me go crazy. i am doing my best to analyze myself but actually confusing myself and confusing others in the lengthy process of my explanation. So i'll stop here.I like dogs and i am allergic to cats. I like to play pool and throw darts. Shooting at target ranges is always a treat but i never have many opportunities to do so because there are no ranges near SF.I would like to build toys in the future. Either electronics or simple things like LEGOs, erector sets, even silly things like clay modeling or play dough. You just gotta think of how to be creative to have fun... IMAGINATION its the key.
