About Me

I've been living in Dublin for about 2 years now. Was working in retail to support my gig, CD and DVD habits. But then I got a job in eBay, no more uniform, class. Before that I was in Sligo, went to College there and ended up hanging around for 12 years. I did a variety of things while I was there but I definetly felt most passionate about projects I did in my final few years there, which I'll fill you in on if you decide to read on. I got into DJing in my final year of college and do it on and off since. I did many club nights, starting with the Rock Night in the Tower Hotel. Then I went onto the Clarence Hotel where after short stints on Fridays (Mute Ant) and Wednesdays (Rez-Erection) a friend, DJ Someoneelse, started Soup on Thursdays, with which we decided to try and break music boundaries and not focus on genre but rather music we thought was good and the night successfully ran for 3 years. I got involved in acting and amateur dramatics as well. I was part of the production team on "Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters", played Dr. Whiteface and Death in "Terry Pratchett's Men At Arms", Gerardo in "Death and The Maiden" (which was staged in aid of Amnesty International, and I also helped produce), and Cheswick in "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest". I also had a part in a short film called "Silent Walls" by Enda O'Connor. I got into the habit of going to any gigs I could and because of this I ended up doing numerous things connected with this including Sound and Lighting but most notably reviews, these were mainly just local gigs for local papers but The Sligo Weekender asked me to review Witnness once, I really enjoyed this, ended up running around and catching about 70 acts over the weekend. I did some gig promotion too promoting gigs for Tom Hingley (of the Inspiral Carpets) and Mael Mordha. But I had to stop doing this as I didn't have the time to commit due to already running Soup and also starting up SubCulture, Sligo's first comic and hobby store, which I ran for over 3 years, but had to leave it go as I was holding down 2 part time jobs to try and keep it going, so I packed it all in and moved Dublin.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Well ideally I'ld love to get back into DJing and acting so anyone who could help me with either would be great. Also getting to hear some new music is great, actually I like meeting new people so pretty much anyone who has something interesting to say
