My name is Sage Alot and I am 25 years young. I was born in Denver Colorado in 1983. I have been an artist my entire life. When I got out of high school I got into carpentry for about 5 or 6 years. During my carpentry career my art progressively faded. Right around my 23rd birthday I started feeling undoubtedly stagnant and painfully hollow. An enormous piece of me and who I was was missing. Something had to change... So about one year ago I made the decision to hang up the nail bags, put down the hammer and find myself once again. That was the best decision of my life. I started drawing again and immediately knew what I was going to do with the rest of my life. I decided I was going to build a career with my art. I haven't looked back since. I got very motivated and did what I had to do to start tattooing legally. I received my tattoo license on Halloween 2008 and all of the sudden, "the dream" became true. I am excessively passionate about what I do. Anytime someone comes into our studio to get a tattoo, whether it be a dime size celtic knot, or the most elaborate back piece, I am truly honored. To be trusted with a persons body and to be able to share that experience is what makes all the BS in the industry worth it.There are two people in my world that have tremendously influenced my art and inspired me as an artist. First, is my mother. She was an art teacher during the earlier years of my life. Having exposure to art like that around me so young definitely had a major impact on me. I remember asking her when I was really young, "momma, will you teach me how to draw like you?" She is an amazing artist, woman and an even better mother! Secondly, is a very talented artist named Jeff Gogue. He is unquestionably one of the best in the business. It is very rare when you meet an artist of this caliber who remains as humble as the day I met him.Last but not least I would like to tell you about my love. I met my other half Savannah aka Rainbow Rage back in August of 2006. I knew then and there that she was the woman for me. She is my light. It took us a long time to get to where we are today, but I wouldn't have it any other way. A lot of the shit we went through was very difficult to endure at the time. All of that shit seems so minor now because of where we are today. I feel very lucky to have her. If you don't know her you're missing out. If you do, you love her too but NOT LIKE I DO... I LOVE MY BOO!!!!
