About Me

In 1985, three high school friends from Merrillville, Indiana pulled together a very odd combination of musical influences to form the progressive rock band Afterimage. Even at the outset, they endeavored to concentrate mainly on original music, pulling from diverse influences such as Rush, Yes, Asia, the Beatles, King's X, The Who, Stevie Ray Vaughn and ELP. After successfully playing a gig in July with a drummer with full blown chicken pox and another very loud gig on Saint Patrick's Day, complete with several covers of Rush songs for a crowd of seniors at a VFW, they recorded a full album worth of material onto a now lost 4-track recording. Now, in 2007, 20 years and many, many bands after they drifted apart, a series of emails has brought them back together under the new name Stig Leschley. Even though 2000 miles seperates the members, they are collaborating over the internet to release new material and bring back the challenging, fun music they enjoyed playing together in high school.
