Charles Girton CHARLES E. GIRTON MELBOURNE On Monday, March 17, 2008, Charles E. Girton, 78, peacefully went home to be with his heavenly Father. Although Chuck was born in Davis City, Iowa on December 24, 1929, his family were early settlers in Palm Bay and he grew up in West Melbourne. In his early years he worked as a cowboy and at age 25 he started his career with the City of Eau Gallie as a truck driver and then on to the City of Mel bourne where he retired as a heavy equipment operator after 37 years of service. Chuck enjoyed outdoor activi ties with his family and got real pleasure from helping others. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy; son, Chuck: daughter, Crystal; seven grand children; ten great-grandchil dren; and a brother, Richard Pee Wee Harvey. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, March 22nd, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home Chapel.
