About Me

Ari katorza is a music producer, singer-songwriter and guitar player. His debut album, 'Stairway Secrets' (2004), was greeted with overwhelmingly enthusiastic reviews. The album – which was co-produced by the sound engineer Manu Swissa with guest appearance of the legendary Moshe Levi – brought together the exuberance and the thoughtfulness of rock history, molded into the 2000's sounds and styles. During the last two years Ari has produced several records, included 11 songs from Sharon Holzman's double album, "Gold" (Zahav), as well as Eyal Sechter's Sweet & Bitter (Matok Umar) and Oren Jorno's debut album. The last two albums will be released during the summer of 2009. Ari has just finished his second album, this time in English, and as a band member of "The DavidSons". The album was co-produced with Ariel Sherbekovski and feauturing Arnon Palti on strings arrangements. The members of the "The DavidSons" group are Ari Katorza (Guitars), Ariel Sherbekovski/Ofer Eshed (Bass), Nachum Pterezeil (Vocal), Shaul Besser (Keyboards) & Boris Rasinski Levin (Drums). The DavidSons are managed by K-records. Ari is also lecturing about songwriting, music production and the history of popular music, as well as teaching ensembles classes, at "Rimon School Of Music". Ari was recently honored with Ph.D. degree which concern popular music from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
