_________As music of eternity, the Blues doesn't forgive the approximations of the vulgarity of certain "adaptations". So it comes without surprise that a group like THE BLUES LOVERS immediately positions itself amongst the finest sounds of today. Here tradition and experimentation is not treated light-handly and they, as musicians like to say, have "paid their dues". Their formula is straightforward : first a legendary rhytmic section of international reputation ( Zox / Bass, Deel / Drums, Nile / Keyboards) wich over the years has been heard throughout Europe and over the Atlantic, in particular besides Luther Allison, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Champion JackDupree, Sonny Rhodes and many others, as well as in the majority of recording sessions produced in Europe since the Blues revival and wich have constantly been reissued since. Then there is a guitarist of highest standing, J.M.H. stringing nuances and tension behind the incredible voice of Laomée, whose immense talent undoubetly gives her a place in the very privated club of the great blues singers. In short it's a group that distance itself from the simple imitations so commonly found today and insribes itself in the permanent and perpetual resurrection of Blues music. Larry Martin
