About Me

JOHNSONS - the greatest rock & roll fashion store in the world...ever ever ever!
This page is a tribute to JOHNSONS, the greatest rock & roll fashion store ever, whose clothes were worn by the Stones, Bowie, The Who, The Pretenders, The Clash and Tom Waits to Iggy Pop, The Cramps, Lords Of The New Church, Generation X, Primal Scream, The Cult (Billy Duffy even worked at the shop at one time!), The Smiths (yes, Johnny Marr used to buy from us when he worked at X Clothes), Transvision Vamp (yup, bassist Dave worked for us as well before he went on to Bush), Paul Weller, Elvis Costello, George Michael, Rupert Everett and even Liza Minelli, Bing Crosby and Samantha Fox!
How 'bout that?!
OUR CLOTHES AND WHO WORE THEM
The list of those who shopped at Lloyd Johnson's shops is as long as your proverbial: from Jack Nicholson to Bob Geldof to Rod Stewart, from the Specials, the Stray Cats and the Sex Pistols to Madness, The Clash, Guns N'Roses and Fun Lovin' Criminals, from the good, the bad, the beautiful to the damned (and The Damned!) and the downright ugly.
These days Lloyd is as busy as ever consulting on the reinvention of the LaRocka! brand - check out www.myspace.com/larockalives to see how great it looks in the 21st Century.
We hope you enjoy this page. Please join our friends, post your memories and photos, leave messages for Lloyd and the gang and we'll regularly update you with fresh images, great archive shots and lots and lots of fun stuff.
Let's get together and celebrate the greatest rock&roll fashion label ever! Yeah yeah yeah!
