About Me

Join The Progressive and Environmental Party at P.E.P.
I am Divine Mother, creator of The World Reformation Church and The World Reformation Political Party, (Now The Progressive and Environmental Party) sort of like the worldwide Green Party, and it's for the whole world. Want me to get serious? Listen: This is Divine Mother Durga. I am that aspect of God which is active in creation: the shakti, or power of the transcendent Lord. I am the personification of OM. Now I assume my roll as unifier of all true religions, culminating in the year 2012. I will appear to the masses in glory at the great Kumbha Mela 2013. The Maha Kumbha Mela is held every twelve years in Allahabad in the state of Uttar Pradesh in Northern India. It will be the largest gathering of people in the history of the world with over 100 million people in attendance. To prepare for this event everyone should make at least one pilgrimage to a Durga Puja between now and then, and everyone should meditate everyday without fail.
Durga Puja is the most venerated festival of the people of eastern India. It is celebrated with lot of exuberance and zest particularly by the people of West Bengal. Durga Puja in Bengal is celebrated at the time of the year when all of India experiences a festive season. According to the Hindu Solar Calendar, it falls on first nine days in month of Ashwin-between October and November. This period is also called the Navaratri.
Durga Puja is celebrated to commemorate the victory of the good over evil. Lord Shiva created a woman with special attributes and all the Gods gave her gifts. With a Bengal Tiger as her mount and adorned with jewelry was thus born Goddess Durga. The celebrations for Durga Puja in Bengal culminates in a huge procession as Divine Mother is carried throughout the city and to the sea where she is immersed in the water.
Although Durga Puja, in some form or the other, is celebrated all over India the real celebration of Durga Puja should be seen in Bengal. Many cultural programs like dance, music and drama are organized. People prepare many varieties of dishes and sweets for the Puja. It is the time of absolute festivity as most of the schools, colleges and government offices are closed for the celebration.
