About Me

Name: Brooke
Location: Perth
Occupation: Student
College: ECU
Degree: Bachelor of Communications
Major: Film & Video - Performance Writing & Criticism

I AM NOT A HOOKER Meaning? If you are one of those people that wants to have 300+ myspace friends that are wearing skimpy crap in their profile pics and are always stopping by to 'send you some love' - Don't add me, don't even try and add me because I'll be hitting the deny button so fast your head will still be spinning into next week...
No sleazebags please... with that said - anyone who shares any of my interests basically, particularly music, but anyone in general who is laid back and happy to chat on occasion. I LIKE! Movies, Music, Writing, Singing, Art, Books, My Nephews, World Series of Poker, Penn & Teller, Graphic Design, HTML/Web Design, My menagerie of animals, Final Fantasy, The CI Channel, Discovering emerging artists (To explain - new artists that have yet to be signed or recognised. There is some unbelievable talent out there and yet we're in an era of mass produced crap where we have commercialised BS shoved down our throats by the producers of Australian Idol - nothing better than finding a great pub band :), travelling, Stand up Comedy (Comedy clubs, gotta take the bad with the good but the good will often amaze you :) WM3.org
MUSIC The Red Paintings, Neurosonic, The Cure, The Whole Beneath, Smashing Pumpkins, Sufjan Stevens, NIN, Kind Of Pluto, The Whitlams, Powderfinger, Cibo Matto, Incubus, U2, Tool, The Yeah Nahs, James Blunt, Nightwish, Dresden Dolls, Tegan and Sara, The Travelling Wilburys, The Rolling Stones, Radiohead, Tripod, Gary Jules, Crowded House, Tommy Emmanuel, Jeff Buckley, RHCP - Anything good really. Big fan of independent music. If you hadn't noticed I have a pretty wide taste in music.
MOVIES The Devils Advocate, The Crow, Labrynth, The Virgin Suicides, Donnie Darko, The Dark Crystal, OutFOXed, Willow, Heathers, Dark City, Fight Club, Momento, Never Ending Story, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Dream for an Insomniac, Reality Bites, Arlington Road, The Breakfast Club, The Omen, Ordinary Decent Criminal, Inventing The Abbotts, Quills, Children of the Revolution, Alien & Aliens (The other two sucked horribly!), The Village, Sky Captain & Tomorrow, American Beauty, Bowling for Colombine, Shine...
TV Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Bones, Buffy (NOT ANGEL!), Veronica Mars, Greys Anatomy, Penn & Teller, Mindfreak, The Awful Truth, Survivor - tragic maybe but you know, at least I don't like Big Brother...
BOOKS To Kill a Mockingbird, Harry Potter Series (Hey, I was always anti them until I started reading them), Dead Famous, 1984, Waiting for Godot, Top Girls, This Old Man Comes Rolling Home, The Crucible, Posie Graeme Evans Trilogy, The Gathering, Dude where's my country, Stupid White Men, So many more though of course nothing is coming to mind right now :/ I've also had to develop a liking for Books about 'Bob The Builder' for my nephew Ry :)
HEROES Gough Whitlam - "Well may we say god save the Queen, for nothing can save the Governor General" - A man not afraid to call a man 'comrade' during the time of the McCarthyism era and a man not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. It's Time. Geoffrey Rush - For showing the world that you can win an Oscar with an Australian accent, and for being the sort of person I want representing Australia on the world stage, and for just all round being a nice guy. My Mum - For teaching me how to have courage in times of adversity and for raising me to have an open mind and heart. My Nephews - Ry, Taj & Mitchell - For reminding me of the beauty of innocence, honesty and unconditional love.
