About Me

I've gotten the old soul thing throughout the years and although it used to bother me, it seems to be one of my favorite things about myself these days. The Czech Republic was my home for awhile- Ten months to be exact. Those days cross walks were simply suggestions. Feet became a means of transportation. And almost everything was eaten with a fork and knife, yes, even french fries. Going out for a beer with your friends after school was typical. Hopping the train or bus to go to another town was what was done on the weekends. It was perfectly normal for girls to date men that were 6,7,8,9 years older than them, it's simply how it's done. You can rent hotel rooms at age 15, and for emergencies do not call 911- it will get you nowhere. The number is 155. Czech moms are amazing for the self esteem, always telling you how pretty you are and how your outfit suits you. If you can't get by without personal space- don't go there. and you might as well not visit if you can't hack pda. "Kdy V Cesko" (When in Czech)was my excuse for everything those days, my justification, voice of reasoning- all of the above.I like cappuccino's and orange jaipur tea. I'm a philomath. - I'm all about truth- I trust, probably too easily, but once the trust is gone, it's a long hard road to regaining it. - I believe in the struggle, working your way up in life, from the bottom to the top- and relishing in the feeling that comes from it. - I am a giver- of words- of motivation, and I enjoy being that way very much. There is a certain satisfaction that comes from being able to give to others, regardless if you are able to make an impact on them or not. - When I love, I love with all of me, which I used to think was a problem- but I've realized that it's just fine as long as I place my love in the right places; in the hands of the right people. - I don't settle. I used to, but it turns out settling isn't very satisfying, who knew? I know what I'm worth, what I deserve, and if people arn't willing to acknowledge that- then I don't need them in my life. - I am all about details. The small things are the one's that are important to me, items, material things arn't important to me I'd rather know my favorite color, how I eat my hamburger, my bean burrito, my shoe size. To me those things matter. - There is a billboard that has a diamond ring and an avocado and it says "Which would you choose?" and I'm the one that would take the avocado- without second thought. - I'd rather go to coffee in sweats and have really good conversation than go out to dinner at some fancy restauraunt which required me to spend way too much time getting ready, to eat expensive food that really isn't that special, and requires me to tone down the volume of my voice and laughter. Yeah...no thanks. - I like simple things. I want to get married in a little wooden paddle boat- in an orange dress. plain and simple- just the way I like things. - I plan to be fluent in Arabic ( i already was- I just have to pick it back up) and Czech. Two very different languages, both of which are challenging.-And that is a glimse at the person that is me, although not all of me- as it's nearly impossible to divulge the innerds of a person in words.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Someone who will buy me an avocado. "It is not enough to put your heart and soul into something" she said. "The really important things require much more than that."
