Matt Lee is an American Country Songwriter, also known at the Sad Song Cowboy by many friends, cause most of his songs are sad. He was raised in Michigan, but has the heart of a True East Tennessean. Every since he can remember, he loved country music, his favorites ranged from “Boot Scootin’ Boogie†by Brooks and Dunn to Tim McGraw’s “It’s Your Loveâ€. At age 5 he was writing stories, at 10 it began to be lyrics, although he will be the first to admit, that they didn’t start good, but over the course of 6 years, Matt’s songwriting skills has grown. He knows he isn’t the best yet, but he hopes someday he could be in the same category as his songwriting hero’s, Dean Dillon, Bill Anderson, Skip Ewing just to name a few. Each song he writes has a piece of his soul in it. Matt has always said “Your songs are like your babies, if they don’t turn out, you wonder where you went wrongâ€. Songwriting is the one constant thing that brings happiness to Matt’s life. This year 2008, he will be working with some fantastic songwriters to write the best songs they possibly can. Matt knows first hand dreams can be very hard to follow, and if you quit, all the effort and hard work you put into your dream don’t mean a thing. Hopefully the year 2008 will bring Matt good luck in the songwriting world.
