Get to know the REAL Josh Doyle. The Realdoyle.
Being a working musician in the truest sense requires a keen ear, professional disposition, and ability to perform in several musical environments;
you will find Doyle is just as comfortable pounding out a strong foundation for an indie-rock band as he is stirring brushes on an alt-country tune or
swinging the space on a bebop jazz gig. Growing up in a music loving home, Josh was raised on a healthy diet of Motown and Stax Records R&B,
Beach Boy's and Beatles pop, and anything else that could be sung to his bedroom mirror.
Josh Doyle is a drummer, producer, teacher, and songwriter (ASCAP) based out of Los Angeles, California, USA. A graduate of the
Los Angeles Music Academy (LAMA) ,
majoring in drumset performance with an emphasis in composition and recording. Realdoyle's mission is to work with artists who equal
his passion and work ethic with the goal of making a career of quality music.
In 2008 alone, Doyle performed with artists on LaFace Records, Milan Records, Invengo Records, and for Rockstar: INXS finalist,
Ty Taylor (performing a soul/r&b version of the Rolling Stone's song "You Can't Always Get What You Want"). You can frequently find Josh working with
some of the most talented indie singer/songwriters in LA, including the soulful Katrina Parker ,
witty pop troubadour Aaron Beaumont , and the amazingly talented
multi-instrumentalist/producer Evan Hillhouse . Doyle can also be heard on the 2008
Benny Strange release When Continents Collide
( now available on iTunes ).
As a songwriter, Realdoyle released a solo album titled Traffic, which he wrote, engineered, mixed, and produced.
You can hear tracks from that record and other more recent 2008 recordings on the music page .
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2005, Josh Doyle has performed for numerous colleges, festivals (including SxSW in Austin, TX),
animal rights benefits, and on live television (FOX). Through these experiences Josh has performed on the stages LA's first choice clubs:
the House of Blues-Hollywood, The Majestic Ventura Theater, Knitting Factory, Hotel Cafe, Spaceland, Whisky A-Go-Go, The Viper Room,
Key Club, and The Derby.
Josh Doyle endorses Vic Firth drumsticks and mallets.
