I'm a 65 year old, married to a wonderful man named Ron! We live in Sumrall, Miss. Where is that you ask? It's down in the pine belt in lower Mississippi. We're 90 miles North from Gulf Port, 90 miles South of Jackson, 100 miles Northeast from New Orleans, 20 miles West of Hattiesburg. Right in the line of all those hurricanes! But, praise the Lord we've been blessed not to have any bad damage from any of the storms.Why did we move here from Southern California you ask? Since I retired and couldn't afford Southern Calif., it was the best choice! This is where my dad was born way back in 1910. I live only 1 1/2 miles from the old homestead. I'm amazed that so many of my relatives still live right here in the same area. My great-grandfather moved to this area back in the 1880’s after slavery. They called this area "Little River.” There are a lot of the Watts family still around here!I’m the unofficial Watts Family Historian. My husband Ron and I often sing duets. We travel a lot visiting friends and relatives as far as Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Texas, and every where in between! We love to drive and see this beautiful country!
