Sergio Morales was born in Buenos Aires in 1956 as the last of 12 children. His parents, Juan Hernando Jesus Maria Habalas and Fernanda Fatima Maria Kelenekes educated all of their children classical guitar, violin music theory and of course, the trumpet.Very soon sergios remarkable talent was discovered and he played with several national artists such as Jesus Villa Maya, Pablo Mucha, Gonzales Guerilla etc. at the age of 17 he followed an invitation of the renowned afro-cuban guitar hero Paolo "el rapido" Granini to go to Downtown New York to have a steady gig at "Joe`s Bbq" near Central Park. From then on, he constantly grew up to an important part of NY`s underground Jazz community. For the next 30 years Sergio gave up playing because he realized there was nothing more he could reach as a musician.he then worked as a truck driver in north america.finally the music of lalo shifrin brought him back to music and inspired him to play again.
