I've started playing the drums in September of 1994 at Escola de Jazz do Porto. Since then I've always been into several projects, mostly relate to the metal scene. My first band was a trash metal band FEARS TOMB, in wich I've recorded a self-titled demo tape in 1995 and in the end of 1996 I entered a black/metal band called GODLESS BEAUTY in which I have only performed live with (sometimes both bands at the same show). Always looking for some versatility in music, reflex of what I listen and as a challenge in my musical compositions, I entered a rock/grunge band called COURTYARD LAMP, wich won Padaria Festival, in Porto. In 2001 I was invited to join IN SOLITUDE wich have two recorded albuns, fanbase and a big will to improve their sound. As a result of that in 2003 I've entered in studio to record that that would be IN SOLITUDE's masterpiece "NETHERGOD". Recorded by Rui Santos (Oratory) and mixed by Mário Pereira / Rui Santos, “NETHERGOD” was critically acclaimed in Portugal and International press. The “Nethergod Tour” followed the release and In Solitude played more than twenty live dates sharing the stage with bands like Epica, Skyclad, Oratory and Ramp; playing in theaters such as Fnac, Rock House Café, Hard Club among other and summer festivals. In 2006 I've started my heavy/rock/musical project SINTAGMA were I've again joined my longtime band mates Filipe Moreira and Tiago Delgado. In 2007 I've joined Y? which added a new challenge to my carreer, a lady singer. It turned out to be great. He've won the 2007 Super Bock Super Rock and performed live in SBSR 2007, longside with Arcade Fire (..m/ sweet). We've toured near Porto and performed an acustic set for Fnacs and radios. In the early 2009 the remains of Sintagma as evoluted and came out a new band with a new attitude - UNFOLDED VISION with the perfect line-up Henrique Loureiro (vocals), Filipe Moreira (guitar), Tiago Delgado (guitar), João Cavadas (bass) and me on the drums and we're ready to rock.
