Myspace Layouts Sharlene Hartford has been a firefighter, a boxer, an elected official, a medical first responder and was to be the first girl little league baseball player, until her hometown started the Lassie League just to avoid it. Passion for singing and writing songs has been there from the beginning. But this has always been the biggest dream, and it required the most courage to pursue. Sharlene decided last year it was time to get out what was in her heart and share it with others.
Sharlene grew up on her family's farm in tiny Onton, Kentucky. The most exciting thing that ever happened there was Kentucky Basketball games and Grandpa Jones of “Hee Haw†once dropping by Miss Jackson’s Restaurant and Garage for lunch. But even big dreams can be born of humble origin.
Sharlene writes music to elevate people beyond the pain life sometimes brings and offers words to heal and emerge stronger. She writes to poke fun at traditional stereotypes and lessen their impact on our self-esteem. She writes to inspire the dreamer in all of us to move beyond thinking and start acting.
But mostly, every breath of every lyric is written for the dream to share it all with others and create a positive impact in people's lives. Thank you for sharing a moment with her in the pursuit of this dream.
