Hello my name is Alex, I was born in Moscow in 1986 and started playing guitar when I was 11 years old. I got pretty lucky because when I was 15, I was hired to go on tour with a popular band in Russia. After a year of traveling and performing, I decided that it was time to take my guitar skills to the next level so I applied to the Russian College of Music to study Jazz and Classical guitar. I kept working as a studio musician and I continued traveling around Russia as a hired musician. I appeared in many magazines such as: “Guitar Player†(Russian Edition), “Guitar World,†“Hooligan,†“Fuzz,†and many others. I also appeared as a guitar player in a few music videos which were shown on “MTV Russia†and “Muz-Tv,†I opened for Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) in Budapest and was the guitar player in the musical Queen “We Will Rock You†and earned credits on 11 CD’s.
In 2006 I moved to the United States and basically had to start over as a musician. I went to study at the Los Angeles Music Academy and had great teachers such as Frank Gambale, Steve Fister, Greg Howe, Jeff Richman, Jerry Watts, Brad Rabuchin and many others. After LAMA I stated working as a full time musician and recorded a few CD’s with Paige Williams, ZIV (Solo Artist, Best Independent record of the year, more than 60,000 CD’s sold), Candice Aragon, Irene Nelson (Famous Russian artist, 3 Grammy Award winner). I performed more than a hundred shows around the US with great artist such as: ZIV, James Morrison (Grammy Winner London), Reflex (17 National awards). I also got a chance to work with world known producers and engineers such as: Skip Saylor (Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, Paul McCartney), Steven Orchard AIR Studio London (Coldplay, U2), Brian Garcia (Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson). I also recorded soundtrack and appear in the movie “Live Fast, Die Young.â€
