Baja Texas

Baja Texas originated in Edinburg Texas when Singers Red and Eli teamed up with JoAngel from Grupo Ambicion. The band had several appearances in local nightclubs, but rather played honky-tonks and clubs in San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Houston, and Kingsville. Baja Texas had a special appearance at the Tejano Music Awards in 2001. After a short, but fun run at the music scene, Red decided to seek an education, and move to Houston. Eli decided to get Married, and Joangel Continued with Grupo Ambicion. It has been 4 years since the break up of BAJA TEXAS, but the three remain close friends. Red has now moved back to the Rio Grande Valley, and Baja Texas plans to hit the music circuit again. Red and Joangel will be lead vocals and rhythm guitar, JoAngel will also manage the band, and Eli will remain married, and maintain a family man status. If your lucky we will ask Eli to sit in a couple of songs when he is out enjoying a BAJA TEXAS HONKY TONKIN NIGHT. At this moment Red and JoAngel are spending a lot of time in the studio preparing new material. A lot of the songs like “living for the ride” and “Spanish Rose” are original materials, but the band does plan to play lots of cover songs along with original music for your dancing feet and your honky tonk love.
