I came to Las Vegas in 1986 to study Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Before that, my family and I lived in many different places, never really settling down anywhere. My father's side of the family has roots in Washington, D. C., and my mother is from Vietnam. Having been here now for over 21 years, I guess I can say that Las Vegas really is my "home."I met my partner Joe in November of 2001. Although we had a lot in common, the he stole my heart when I found out that he liked Barry Manilow, and was man enough to admit it! We have a home in the Northwest part of the valley near the Santa Fe Station.We both love to travel, and you can usually find me at a Fangoria Weekend of Horrors or Godzilla convention. Okay, so I'm probably a big geek at heart. That's all right; I'm no longer ashamed to admit it! It was difficult being "different" growing up, but with age, you learn to accept yourself for who you are, and embrace the quirky qualities that make each of us unique and special. Joe prefers more typical type of vacations, visiting new places and enjoying the sights. Our last big trip was to Australia in 2007. Check out some of our photos!I currently work for a local government agency, and if all goes as planned, I will retire when I'm 50 with 25 years of service. It's nice to look forward to having a permanent paid vacation. I'll probably spend most of my time planning trips to visit friends around the world.Be good to yourselves and to each other!
