Wylecat grew up in the bootheel of southeast missouri, "played football, drank cheap beer, and smoked pot, had the busted home studio, made a hundred mediocre tapes" his words. Wylecat spent time DJ'ing, produceing, and rapping all before he was 18. He went to Murray State University for a short time, then to Arkansas State University in 1998, that's were he got discovered performing at frat parties. Wylecat recieved a phone call from producers T-love and Navigator then with Coalition Ent. and spit two verses over the phone, he was invited to come to the studio in Memphis, the old Freeto's in Orange Mound. After quickly learning what bars were, he ripped one song, met the group, and was given a free apartment in Southeast Memphis and unlimited beats. It was there he met T-love's nephew T rock of Three Six Mafia, who became a friend and mentor. Wylecat rapped with artists such as Skinny Pimp, T-rock, Endo G, Ghetto Boyz, Koopsta, K rock, II Tone and many more. He performed dozens of shows, and was featured on the UBN's upcoming hip hop artists show R Nation. Wylecat has features on Midwest releases C.I.A. and II Tone, and nation wide releases T-rocks' Defcon 1 and Conspiracy Theory. After recording two albums worth of songs, artwork finished on his album cover which is featured inside Defcon 1, the label disbanded due to gross mismanagement and Wylecat was left without a single copy of any song he recorded except those previously released. After giving up trying to claim his music legally, he left Memphis and moved back to Missouri, and officially retired. In late 2007 a few of his songs reamerged and this led to comeback. Wylecat is currently recording new songs for an upcoming album and is collaborating with many artists from around the globe.
