There are many reasons why I'm the way I am. I live my life to the fullest day in and day out. I like to challenge myself with things that I have never tried before. I work hard and play hard, that's the only way I know how to live my life. I dedicate my time to anything interesting at the moment and won't stop until I have perfected it. In 1994 ,Was the year for a young kid by the name of Omar first touched two turntables and a mixer. I went through a tough time during the early years of my life. At a young age, I dealt with the loss of my mother due to Cancer of the Brain, at that moment I wanted to quit. My father, a well known Latin DJ told me, “Never give up on something you like to do. Don't let people put you down for who you are, show them that you are somebody and you can be better then them. If people try to stop you or slow you down, run them over,†so that is what I did. As the years went by, I got better. My neighborhood friends gave me the name DJ Casper; anywhere from house parties, high school dances, I loved DJing for the people. I remember my first couple of parties, I did it for free. I loved djing that much! It was my passion. Even though I didn't get the respect that I wanted at first, as the years went by DJ Casper quickly became a household name. I was still determined to show the world a thing or two. So I decided to make my first commercial release mix tape. Exposure was the intention and that's exactly what happened with the help of the mix cd’s, word of mouth, and the Internet. I have seen the four corners of the world!! I'm currently working with Reggeaton artists such as Wisin y Yandel, Alexis y Fido. I have also collaborated with popular artists such as Don Omar, Luny Tunes, Mr. Vega, Pitbull, Akon, Rupee, Hector El Father, and many more. Not only do I collaborate with artist’s productions; I also travel with them on tour to many different countries such as Puerto Rico, Peru, California, Mexico, Canada, etc, and all of Latin American. I also DJ at popular clubs in NY and NJ and worked at events with thousands of people. DJ Casper will continue working hard to make a better life for himself and his family.
