About Me

After a year in existence F.T.R. has quickly become one of the most recognizable and highly praised sounds in the Washington D.C. area, commonly referred to as the “DMV”. The debut E.P. “ Hammer and Nails” paved the way for what was to come. H&N Vol. 1 had all the jazz and soul that has been the foundation for “black” music since the early 50’s. This unique blend of old and new has separated FTR from its peers in terms of style and presentation and continues to be cornerstone the FTR movement.

All Aboard! The making of Freight Train Records Part 1
..
Sounds Like: Freight Train Records draws from many different influences. The mixture of Hip Hop, Soul, Go-Go,Rock,Blues and Funk creates a sound that spreads across generations. Add the aggressive and creative nature of todays young people and a shear passion for the MUSIC. But I'll let you be the judge.UP 4071
