..Big Is Less is led by singer/guitarist/composer Robert "Biggles" Sohlberg, who runs the legendary music venue & boarding house Slussens Pensionat, located on the Swedish island of Orust. Big Is Less was formed in 2002, with some minor personnel changes before stabilizing in the current line-up, consisting of Tommy Sahlin, Stephen Sahlin, Sebastian Sandberg and Daniel Gibson. Previous band members include good friends & great musicians like Fredrik Kjellberg and Gunnar Frick.
Big Is Less is the house band at Slussens Pensionat, delivering hundreds of songs from all genres and eras of rock history, as well as lots of original material. All songs are delivered as personal interpretations, and can sound quite different from night to night depending on the current mood and atmosphere of the band and audience - a main reason that more and more people are coming back to see the band perform many times over!
In addition, the band has performed with various well-known Swedish and international musical guests, such as Daniel Lemma, Ebbot Lundberg, Anders "Moneybrother" Wendin, Uno Svenningsson, Freddie Wadling and canadian renaissance man Bob Lanois
Apart from the Slussen house band foundation, Big Is Less perform here and there at various other gigs all over Sweden, as well as having played shows for several weeks on the island of Bequia in the Carribean.
In March mr Bob Lanois is back!! Check out the blog!!
