"Listen to them - the Children of the Night. What music they make!" Count Dracula

My Interests

literature, paranormal, vampires, formula 1, music, hanging out with friends, pc, blogging, movies, theatre, tripping

I'd like to meet:

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, Falling like dew, upon a thought, produces That which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think; 'Tis strange, the shortest letter which man uses Instead of speech, may form a lasting link Of ages; to what straits old Time reduces Frail man, when paper - even a rag like this - , Survives himself, his tomb, and all that's his. from Don Juan

Music:

You will find me listening mostly to dark tunes because I truly believe that hope lies in darkness. You cannot embrace life until you come in terms with all the sadness and gloom that is in you. In this trip there are some musicians and groups which I respect the most, like Nox Arcana, Dark Sanctuary, Dead Can Dance, Loreena McKennitt, Clint Mansell, My Dying Bride, Fields of the Nephilim, Diary of Dreams, H.I.M and many many others...

Movies:

I like many movies but I will mention the ones who influenced me the most and changed my world view. To begin with, the film that I love the most is Interview with the Vampire. I have watched it countless times and I can't get bored of it yet. Another movie that means a lot to me is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone which introduced me to the world of magic. I also adore most of Tim Burton's films, from Ed Scissorhands to his last masterpiece Sweeney Todd and Darren Arronofsky's inspiring films like Requiem For A Dream and The Fountain. Apart from these, I also like classic films like Breakfast at Tiffany's and Gone With The Wind or more contemporary love stories like Nottin' Hill. I prefer watching also films that are related with England, Ireland or Scotland like The Wind that Shakes the Barley, Breakfast on Pluto and Trainspotting. My favourite actor is Johhny Depp so I like almost all of the films in which he has participated. And last but not least I admire Orson Welles' Citizen Kane and The Trial. The video is dedicated dearly to all the true libertines, the debauchees, the free people of this world, Lord Byron, John Wilmot, Oscar Wilde, for all of them who preceded and for those to come...

Television:

Hating Greek Television and its poor-quality programs with a few exceptions, I usually prefer watching American TV series like The X-Files, Lost, Heroes, Friends and Nip/Tuck.

Books:

The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice, Dracula by Bram Stoker, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, The Lord of the Rings by J.R.Tolkien, Lovecraft's Works, Harry Potter by J.K.Rowling, The Name of the Rose and Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eko, The Dark Half and Salem's Lot by Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe's works, The House of The Spirits by Isabel Allende, Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, The Trial by Franz Kafka, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and the beat goes on and on and on...

Heroes:
